St Hugh’s – Ride with the Pro’s

Saturday 3rd June 2017

At HMT St Hugh’s, we are wholly dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community.

We support a number of local and professional clubs such as JLT Condor, NEL Lindsey Go-Ride and the HMT Cycling Team.

Cycling not only offers a superb method of transport for a rider, but it can significantly boost a person’s health and fitness levels. Exercising also doesn’t have to be boring, because cycling allows participants to enjoy the great outdoors and socialise with friends.

To encourage the Grimsby community to pick up a bicycle, we are delighted to provide another opportunity for the public to ride alongside talented, experienced cyclists at our first Ride with the Pro’s event of 2017.

The pro riders confirmed to be in attendance are Russ Downing, Graham Briggs, Connor Swift as well as retired pro, Dean Downing. In addition to this, the HMT JLT Condor Academy team will be at the event, offering support and a chat along the way to participants.

The event is open invite meaning anyone of all ages and abilities are able to ride a 50km route split into x3 groups based on ability/speed which will be led by a member of NEL Lindsey Roads C.C. & accompanied by at least one Pro.

Taking place on Saturday 3rd June, participants are asked to meet at St Hugh’s Hospital at 9.15- 9.30am with the ride beginning at 10-10.10am with the route expected to last approximately 2-2.5 hours.

The route will take a scenic route around the local area including Peaks Parkway, Ashby, Limber Hill, the Lincolnshire Wolds and Tetney before heading back to the hospital.
