Previously held clinical, operational and academic posts within the government and private healthcare systems of the UK and abroad. Worked for the Healthcare Management Trust (formerly known as the Hospital Management Trust) for 18 years in Clinical, Managerial and Executive roles before being appointed as the Chief Executive at the start of 2012.
Director of Operations
Mair has a background in Business and Financial Studies. Her initial career was spent in the NHS with involvement in the commissioning of a flag ship community hospital for the Welsh Office in South Wales, following which she was appointed as the Hospital Administrator. She joined John Randle Associates in 1988 and subsequently HMT, taking on a wide range of roles including Hospital Director at Sancta Maria Hospital and Development Manager (project managing the commissioning of Marie Louise House and Coloma Court Care Home). She has undertaken accreditation work as a surveyor for the Hospital Accreditation Programme and consultancy work for religious orders on behalf of HMT. She is currently HMT Director of Operations.
Director of Clinical Services
An American by birth, but has worked in the UK for the last 9 years. A Registered Nurse. Prior to coming to the UK, he worked for 19 years in the USA in various hospitals. Work in the UK has been primarily in the private acute sector involved with hospitals and treatment centres. Worked with HMT from 2008 to 2010 in a consultancy/management role, as well as a in a Hospital Director’s role. Has come back to work with the HMT to provide clinical support in the hospitals as well as the Care Homes.
Director of Finance
Nigel joined HMT in April 2014 in the role of Director of Finance. Nigel is an accomplished CIMA qualified financial leader, equipped with an excellent track record in both commercial and charitable environments. Nigel’s career has been diverse covering organisations including Burrswood Hospital, Surrey County Cricket Club and The Football Association.
Nigel is married to Denise, is a keen sports fan (including being a Watford FC season ticket holder), is part of the leadership team in his local church and acts as treasurer for a number of small charities.
