RunSwansea – Seminar 1
Tuesday 8th December 2015
At Sancta Maria, we believe that education is the best way to boost health and well-being within the local community. That is why we host a number of seminars which are run by health professionals and experts in the hope of improving awareness around certain health issues.
HMT Sancta Maria is further dedicated to supporting local, semi professional spots teams which is why we’ve focused our next set of seminars around these sports under the banner of ‘RunSwansea’. We are going to be hosting a number of seminar events which are open to the public and will see a number of healthcare professionals speak.
The seminars will cover a number of topics ranging from nutrition, injury prevention and post-exercise recovery. The first seminar, which is free to attend, will be held on Tuesday the 8th December at 6pm in the LC. There will be a talk from broadcaster and Director of Athletics at Cardiff Met, James Thie. Spaces are limited and available on a first come first served basis with bookings being taken via the LC’s reception desk and via telephone.
RunSwansea is a new health promotion initiative aimed at runners of all ages and abilities, including those who have never even put on a pair of trainers. It is being run in partnership with JCP Swansea Half Marathon, The LC, 360 Beach & Watersports and Swansea Bay Parkrun.
We furthermore have a number of different events and seminars planned for the next 12 months with more information coming soon.
To book a place on HMT Sancta Maria’s series of seminars, please phone the LC on the main number 01792 466500.
